About Winding Creek Gardens
Winding Creek Gardens

Winding Creek Gardens was started in 2001 by Nancy and Larry Turner. Located along a winding creek in a barn at 1275 Taylor Ave on the north edge of Belmond, Iowa, it is open from mid April through October and the pumpkin season with new items added each year. Early spring brings a wide selection of flower and vegetable bedding plants along with unique container gardens and hanging baskets. Late spring through October spotlights a wide selection of perennials, shrubs and trees, many not commonly found elsewhere in the region. In 2005, a fun potting shed was added where gardeners can come and pick out plants and plant their own containers or, for the no mess gardeners, Larry and Nancy or one of the designers will do it for them. Having been in the gift business for years, they continue to find and offer unusual and unique garden and patio accessories. In 2006, raspberries were added to the products available, either picked or pick your own. In 2009, strawberries will be added as well as aronia berries (chokeberries) that will be ready to havest in 2011.
